African American art, music

PEORIA -- Here's a promising, free performance from a top local group and a free display of sculpture.

The Heritage Ensemble of Peoria will provide a musical look at Black History at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 28 at the Peoria Public Library's Lakeview Branch, 1137 W. Lake Ave.

A three-month exhibition of Peoria's internationally-known sculptor Preston Jackson will be displayed at each branch of the Peoria Public Library. Five pieces now are on display at the Main Street Branch, 107 NE Monroe.
