PEORIA --Had enough of Illinois government wrangles over money? Worried that vital programs are being cut? Then hit the streets.
Advocates for child care are sponsoring a public rally at 6 p.m. on Thurs. June 18 outdoors at the Peoria County Courthouse at Jefferson and Main, to protest cuts to the state’s child care budget and to encourage adoption of a state budget that is fair to children and families.
Drastic cuts in services to children will occur unless state officials act.
If people in Iran can risk their lives trying to oust a terrible leader, people in central Illinois can take a half-hour from their day to show support for programs that are vital to children and their low income parents.
Be there!
