PEORIA --Local farmers will sell spinach, lettuce greens, micro-greens, green onions, kohlrabi, hazelnuts, winter carrots, bok choy, asparagus, rhubarb, turnips, beets, Swiss chard, tatsoi, mizuna, snap peas, radishes, herbs, plant starts, aronia jam, breads and organic beef, pork and lamb at the last of three local winter markets from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, May 1 at the Methodist Medical Center Atrium Building, 900 W. Main.
And there's more. The Academy of Fretted Instruments will perform live during the market. You can also bring your questions about food, as Methodist Medical Center dietitians will be on hand to discuss healthy eating, share recipes and answer those questions.
