Change Peoria Hosts Major Bernie Sanders Live Stream Event August 24
PEORIA, IL. Change Peoria is hosting a major Bernie Sanders live stream event on August 24 8pm at Peoria Pizza Works. During the live stream Bernie Sanders will introduce his new organization Our Revolution. Our Revolution's goal is to continue the work of the Sanders Presidential campaign to make our political and economic systems responsive to the needs of working families. The public and media is welcome to attend this free live stream event to learn more about the new organization and how to get involved in local politics.
Over ten thousand people in Peoria County voted for Bernie Sanders in the Presidential primaries. Bernie Sanders started a grassroots movement to change politics. Change Peoria and Our Revolution wants to continue the grassroots movement and inspire, recruit, and support progressive candidates starting at the local level. In addition to empowering new progressive leaders to revitalize our democracy, we need to educate the public about important issues and offer solutions to address them.
